Long ago in the land of Throkogin was the War of Mages. A titanic battle that started out as the mages fought the mage knight, mages that also embraced the martial arts to combine magic and steel. The mages found this as an offense against their beloved order and war broke out.

This war became a perfect opportunity for the elves and dwarves to begin their ancient feud again. While the orcs and goblins united under one banner and marched upon the samurai nations, with every intent to take them. The knights soon thought that the demons had incited all the battles and declared war upon them. The demons promptly unleashed their fury on the knights and almost destroyed them.

As the war raged a necromancer rose through the ranks of a mercenary army. Quickly he took control of the army and was soon employed by the mages to end the threat of the head mage knight, a mage and swordsman of little skill it was said. Shinsai the necromancer quickly started warring with everyone, much to the dismay of the mages that hired him. Lands were conquered by him and all the people were killed or turned into soldiers.

The dwarves and elves stopped fighting once they saw the danger of Shinsai. The elves retreated to their forests and the dwarves went underground and shut the doors, forsaking the trouble of humans. The samurai by this time had shoved the goblins and orcs back into their mountain holes and now fought for their lives against Shinsai. The knights and demons stopped warring and turned as one to fight Shinsai. The mages and mage knights continued fighting oblivious to the growing danger of Shinsai. The years began to past and many rumors came upon how Shinsai, being a human, was still alive after two hundred years of constant fighting. Many speculated Shinsai used his necromancy powers to stay alive, but whatever the case, he was a mage of incredible power.

And soon the samurai were able to beat him back and the knights and demons did the same. The elves stayed in their forest shooting anything coming within bow range. And Shinsai set his armies upon the mage knights. Soon the mage knights were fighting for their lives against overwhelming odds. And sooner than anyone dared expect, the battle was at Rayushi’s, the head mage knight, tower. The battle outside the tower raged for years as Rayushi showed the upstart necromancer the power of the demons. Day and night blood fell and magic lit the sky. Never was there a day the killing of hundreds stopped. Mage knights being trained in underground bunkers were thrust into the battle as soon as training was over. Armies of demons strode to the battle to help the mage knights. And soon all the forces were against Shinsai, the mages were out because of loss of life and Shinsai fought all of Throkogin. But his armies did not crumble. The lines did not falter as dwarves ran forward singing their deep throated battle chants. The lines did not falter as humans threw themselves onto the lines. Nor did they waver when storms of arrows descended upon them.

The only timed they moved the slightest was when the demons charged forward, songs of death on their lips.

But too soon the forces of Throkogin were beaten back. The knights and samurai retreated to their lands nursing wounds. Dwarves tunneled back underground cursing the day they set foot outside. Elves ran back to their forests and soon shot anything within sight, in bow range or not. But the demons stayed, their forces smaller, but their determination as high as ever. But even they could not stop the fury of a necromancer. Soon anyone who could fight was fighting day and night without a break. And soon Rayushi joined the fighting. His skill with the sword and staff apparent as he ran forward and cut down any in his path. Many were the nights Rayushi charged forward in the dead of night while both sides slept, wiping out entire armies with his still at sword and staff and his even better skill at magic.

But a certain day of fate came, a day when the most powerful mages came together to cast a terrible a spell, a spell that would open different dimensions of their world so they could enslave all the inhabitants with a spell quickly and have them annihilate their enemies. It would of worked but they didn’t think the world would be so different, they thought they would be just the past and future versions of their world. They did not except the idea that maybe the world would be extremely different for reasons unknown.

As it turned out the worlds were extremely different and the spell caused them to completely merge, creating an extremely large world, where new technology conflicted with past technology. Humans met past and future versions of themselves. The other races saw that in the end, the adaptability of the humans would save them from extinction.

The mages saw the folly of the spell they had cast and immediately set forth all their armies to destroy the mage knights.

They arrived at Rayushi’s tower stronghold to see the full might of the mage knights arranged before them. The sight before the mages made them falter, while with a war cry and a cheer a lone figure charged out of the midst of the mage knights. The only indication to who it was, was a black staff with silver runes on it held high, and a shining long sword with black runes on it held out to the side.

Rayushi Silverblood, the head of the mage knights, one of the most powerful beings to ever walk the land, was the first to crash into the ranks of the mages.

The battle between the mages and mage knights raged on and on for months, until finally Rayushi had to retreat to his stronghold with his closest generals and best warriors. They were able to hold off the attacks for another few months until they finally broke in and Rayushi’s generals sacrificed themselves for Rayushi. Rayushi was able to hold off the attacks long enough for his wife to cast a spell that would transport their son to some other area, away from the battle raging all around him. It did not matter where he grew up, or how, just that he did, for inside him was the ability to crush everyone and everything. A child born between a demon and an angel would make a powerful being, a being of unstoppable might, which may be why they were never meant to be together, why they are always fighting.

No matter the case of the relationship between the demons and angels, the hybrid between the two was a creature of unknown and untold power.

However, until the time that the being was able to transform into the hybrid, the creature would favor whatever lineage its personality suited most, whether it be demon or angel, was a case of how the world treated it.

This will be the piece that explains how Rioth, Raculard, and Zynd will come together and such, at least the basics anyways. This was originally meant to be the header of my books before I got the idea of merging dimensions and such. I'll be starting short stories about the adventures of Rioth, Raculard, and Zynd soon, and I may post my real stories on here, that's still undecided though. ANYWAYS, enjoy this ^_^
